Letters and accounts of the discovery of books and relics on Catholicism, 1609-1610.

Relates the uncovering of lead tablets in the mountains outside Granada, inscribed in Arabic, providing accounts of Catholic teachings, miracles performed by Jesus Christ, the persecution of the martyrs under Nero, and other related themes. There is considerable speculation as to the authenticity of these tablets, as cited by the scribes and correspondents, owing to the discrepancies of dates and events as well as an excessive zeal toward Christianity attributed to the Moors. The tablets were claimed to date from ca. 60 A.D.
